Understanding Key Financial and Commercial Concepts to Help Your Sustainable Energy Business Grow

During the first months of project development and initial round feedback from industry professionals within the pilot programme, the LAUNCH partners have become increasingly aware of the importance of successfully presenting a company, a project or a pipeline of projects to both investors and end-clients. In response, the LAUNCH consortium is developing a Learning Hub as a platform for resources for Energy Service Companies, engineers, consultants, development managers and, broadly, everyone working in the energy sector to gain these skills and knowledge.

What is unique about these resources is that they integrate skills and insight from different perspectives – technical, financial, legal, commercial, promotional – and are based on real-market experiences instead of theoretical concepts.  And, they are provided for free – through the LAUNCH H2020 project.

The LAUNCH Learning Hub

The concept behind the LAUNCH Learning Hub is to identify a collection of free educational resources shared primarily by the project partners from actual on the ground experience and covering the main topics discussed within the LAUNCH project. The Hub will also include material from external market sources (financiers and project developers) to expand the knowledge base on specific topics.

The objective is to offer to energy professionals the required building blocks of knowledge, enabling them to and increase the sales of their projects and succeed in engaging financial players.

A key aim of this LAUNCH Learning Hub, is the dissemination of a foundational  set of concepts required to increase sales business and access viable forms of funding both for companies and projects.

Those who wish to master this set of concepts will be provided with  the opportunity to join full-fledged training sessions to enrich their theoretical knowledge with practical exercises and case studies.

Content and Topics covered

The resources shared by the Learning Hub will consist in the form of blog articles, webinars, white papers and workshops built around the five pillars of the project:

  • Energy Performance Contracting;

  • Risk Assessment Protocols of Financial Funds;

  • Sales Processes;

  • Value Propositions and End-Clients segmentation;

  • Company Presentation

Additional external resources - created by or in collaboration with other EU projects/companies within the LAUNCH network - will also be shared.

The file rouge connecting all the pieces is learning concepts and sharing best practices to help your sustainable energy business to grow.

All the content is based on years of activity in financing, project development and policy.
